No, that didn't do it. It seems if I use the search key or force a server,
it has issues. Random lobbies finding the game have no issues.

I think I fixed it.
I renamed the cfg/ directory, redownloaded all the default cfgs, and
replaced the ones in my current cfg directory. Now the servers are becoming
reserved.
There's another interesting thing I noticed.
If you have sv_allow_lobby_connect_only set to 1, and you try to use a
search
Hey, I'm still having this problem. It's NOT an issue with sourcemod. I
disabled metamod + sourcemod, and it's still dumping people in the default
map + settings without a lobby reservation.
For reference, here's my server.cfg
sv_steamgroup ##
exec banned_user.cfg
exec banned_ip.cfg
sv_allo
Disregard that too! -_-If I remove the +map option from my command line, the
servers do not start correctly.
So, to sum it up:
I don't have any map/mp_gamemode/z_difficulty settings in any configs, and
removing +map from the command line causes servers to not respond once
started.

Blah. Disregard that. My server host changed IPs on me...

I just realized you asked about the start command. Did you mean the command
line? I was specifying a map there.I removed it, and my servers would not
start up. I added it back. Now they start up, and crash immediately after
starting. I have disabled metamod/sourcemod and it's still happening.
Comm
No.This only happens sometimes, and I can't find a connection. Any versus
lobby, and amount of players.

Are you specifying the map and mode in the start command or in the server's cfg
file?

I'd just like to note that the server is unreserved when people connect. It
acts as if we connected through console to the server while it was running
on the default map, waiting for a lobby to join it.

I'm having this strange issue with my L4D servers.
People will connect to the servers from lobbies, but the server will stay on
the default map + settings, which I have as dead air coop, normal.
I'm not sure what's causing it. It could be sourcemod, but I'm not sure. Has
anyone seen this before?
