1 & 2) One box, dual amd opteron 250, w/ dual WD Raptors (74GB; 10,000 rpm),
2GB ram to run one @ 32 player CS 1.6 server (addons: amxmodx 1.01; metamod
1.17.4) and one @ 28 player CSS server with addons/non-default settings:

tickrate 100

Currently cpu load is about 15.7% with 18 players in CS 1.6 and 2 players +
4 bots in CSS. Memory usage is about 5%.

cpu load with 16 bots in the CSS server and a full 32 players in the CS 1.6
server gets to a high of about 40%.

3 & 4) I have 3 mbps dedicated up and down for both servers combined. If
both servers are full, you'll notice it as far as lag goes, but not too
much.

I find myself being asked quite often about what CPU/net requirements it
takes to run a server. I have answers based upon our internal
playtesting but I would also like to hear what you guys use in the wild.

So, my questions are:
1) What speed CPU do you use for a 32 player HL1 server (CS 1.6)
2) What speed CPU do you use for a 32 player Source server (CS:S)
3) How much bandwidth per user do you allow for a HL1 server
4) How much bandwidth per user do you allow for a Source server
5) How much difference is there in these requirements for other mods?
