I have my servers set to each run on their own core and the 100% cpu lockup
doesnt affect any other servers on the same box.

I've also noticed an increase of cpu usage for idle servers. I think

I dont run Debian... I run FreeBSD with an linux_base of gentoo.
I dont have a time when it started. I have just noticed it lately when I
was fixing so it started metamod again after gameinfo.txt got updated.

I only red the previous message mentioning mani and thought this was it
but since it seems to happen with sourcemod and metamod at the server,
it seems not to be only mani-admin issue. In the past i removed metamod
and tried mani with and without it and both times my servers hanged on
the point
FWIW, after yesterday's TF2 patch, my servers have been locking up or
crashing regularly.

I have similar issue. But I have only seen it freeze or rather hang at the
startup sequence just before it comes to "Adding master server". This
happens quite rarely. Maybe once or twice a week. ctrl-c and restart fixes
this.
I am using mms with the plugins: Basic Admin Tool, Last Connected, High
Sorry missed that you are running Debian, and he isn't using Mani Admin,
he is using SourceMod.

This is mani-admin issue. I also had this one with 2 servers and
removing mani fixed it 100%.

Is the process showing 100% cpu in top? What distro are you running?

I only run metamod:source and sourcemod. I've just updated to the most
recent versions and I'll see what happens (I was only a version behind).
BTW, this is a P4 3.2ghz machine.
The server never crashes, it just freezes. sometimes it'll even freeze
during the server start right after the map loads
I had the same experience with a CS:S server, but only with manimod, on
freebsd. It would sometimes crash and restart randomly or after map change.
removing manimod solved the issues, and it worked fine with sourcemod.

I'm running a small test server for CS:S and randomly the server will freeze
up. the console completely locks up but doesn't crash and the process just
sits at 100% CPU doing nothing. I have no idea why it would do this and is
slightly annoying to say the least. Anyone have any ideas as to why this
If they go prone and back away from each other they can separate... not the
best fix, but better than shooting the player you are being "married" to.
