go into your kernel source and do
patch -p1 ../(directorytopatch)/(patchname)
If you see any rejects then you will have to manually patch the patch in.
( ie
go line by line and add in the code )

slackware 9.1 default with 2.4.22 kernel wow. i hv several servers
rebuilt with slackware 9.1 base with minimal drivers and 2.6.0-test9. it
performs better than 2.4.22 + 1000hz + preempt. you can try it out.
2x24 cs1.6 de_dust / de_aztec, full slots 80% cpu loading. 300k more
bandwidth handled
