Check to make sure the logs directory also has rwx permissions for that user. You cant access a directory unless you have at least rx permissions, and you won't be able to write stuff unless you also have w permissions.

For some not-so-apparent reason, logging has stopped on my CS 1.6 server, yet I have "log on" in the server.cfg. I put "+log on" in the script I use to start the server, with no effect either. This is the message that comes up: Unable to open logfiles under logs/xxxx Permissions are correct, the same as the user running the server. Any suggestions? -- Stephen. _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux
