Philip Farkas started playing horn at age 14, and at age 18 was principal hornist with the Kansas City Philharmonic. He spoke of horn playing as being addictive. I intrepret "addiction" in this case as love, passion, commitment, and spending time playing and studying horn (at a high priority).
