Yes, it had the same covered pit, very useful for the summer festival then (1900 - 1963), as the orchestra members cut perform in shorts & short sleeve shirts, no tie .. Perhaps beer mug. Now it is a regular pit, but quite deep down. Acoustic is very good there. We will do some concerts there o

Grove reports some myths indeed. The Long Call was first performed by Josef Schantl in Vienna when Wagner conducted the prelimiary performances (advertising the 1876 world premiere of the Ring - Rheingold 1869 & Walkuere 1870 were premiered in Munich allready ) in Vienna & Budapest. I possess the o
