After a shed load of googling has drawn a blank, I thought I would
appeal for help from the list.
I am looking for a large brass ensemble (e.g. 4 trumpets, 4 horns, 4
trombones, 2 tubas or similar) arrangement of the Evening Prayer from
Hansel & Gretal.

Hi! To add to what Steve said, it's easy to just check who you're replying
to. If it says "The Horn List", delete it and copy and paste the individual
person's email. It's different, though, if you are going to leave your own
comments instead of simply requesting a copy. I always like to hear what

Hi Tom,
You can't go wrong by getting yourself a copy of the Standley
Routine; it's a superb warm-up routine, as well as a general
"conditioning" routine. I've used it for years and found it to be
very worthwhile.
Available from Thompson Editions for about $10.00.

I have listened and watched Carlberg Jones do his warm-up. Its truly
amazing what he does with just his mouthpiece. Perry

An interesting topic that hasn't been discussed
much...warmups. I would be interested in seeing yours,

I would also be interested in learning what others do

Hi Tim,
There is a Quintet arrangement of it at BVD Press, but it's for quintet. The
cost is only $17.00. Maybe you can use that and expand it...
Good luck

Tuning any horn is a process involving a lot of variables. The right
balance of air pressure/flow, hand position, internal vowel formation
and lots of hardware issues are involved. Going from a large bore horn
