I have been using 50/50 Al Cass Blue Juice since 1993 on rotor faces and
have never had a stuck or gummy rotor whether it was a vintage 8D, Eastlake
8D, Alex, Yamaha, or even the Sansone in the attic. This 50/50 mixture was
recommended to me by a highly respected repairman/horn maker so I think

using it when my valves began being sluggish and a trumpet friend said give
it a go. Has worked extremely well. No gumming of my valves. In fact, the
repair person who cleans my horn complimented me on the cleanliness of my
