I'd have to say that the King march "The Big Cage" was one of the most annoying
things I've ever played. We recently played it at an honor band where most of
the people in it had no business being there in the first place. Us horn
geeks, as much as we hate offbeats, decided that just playing s
to be of more
importance. Also, try to get all of your college app stuff done asap,
perhaps on a weekend day. You'll feel less stressed if you can put these
one-time activities behind you. Good luck!

I recently read a summary of Francis Poulenc's "Elegy for Horn and Piano" in
Douglas Hill's "Collected Thoughts on Teaching and Learning, Creativity, and
Horn Performance." It really caught my eye and I'm wondering if anyone knows
who publishes it or where I can get a copy. Any ideas?
