After being a "lurker" on this forum for three years, I am making my first

I believe that the style of marching that your student is referring to is the
"roll step." This may well be another term for "glide step."
I am not a marching expert, but I do know that this was the "default" step used
by the University of Massacusetts Minuteman Marching Band during my
