I have recently played a Yamaha 668II and it was a fine horn; well made and probably easier to play than my 6 year old 8D. But I prefer the depth of tone on the 8D. The Yamaha is a fine horn but (to me anyway) lacks the character of my 8D. I do not think this is necessarily true of all 8Ds and
