Hi, From some feedback I got on irc, it seems that some people have felt that I wrote this email under the influence of anger.
This was absolutely not the case. People who know me in real life know that I tend to be pretty calm in general. Of course, I may still have short moments of anger now and then, but when it happens, I am aware of it. And I have enough experience of Internet communications and mailing lists in general not to send emails to large audiences under the influence of anger, believe me. So if you read this email under the impression that its tone was an angry one, I invite you to read again, with the knowledge that my "mental tone" was in fact very quiet. The facts I wrote about may be of a nature to anger normal people when they first learn about them, indeed, but, believe me, I have had years to come over my initial personal anger with this system, and the people who run it.
