I did a post here talking about an idiot guide to JOSM and then got

HOT
i've been invited to speak about OSM at a conference on GIS applications
in Public Health.
i'm planning to use my presentation on HOT as the first 20 minutes of my
hour.
for those who haven't looked at (or have lost the URL), the presentation
is here:

i have made the first version of my Rotary presentation available here:

input, suggestions, corrections are welcome. i think my choices about
what to present worked, but there are probably better ones.

i was just putting the hot logo on my title page for tomorrow's presentation
when i noticed i should probably get permission first as i'm not
formally a member.
please let me know; i can always put the OSM logo in the title page in

can anyone point me at some good examples of post-earthquake imagery
1) showing rubble/street blockage and 2) campsites
i can clip some of this from the presentations that are out there (thanks
for the pointers, folks) but i'd prefer to avoid the deteriorating
quality that
comes from that.
thanks, i have located imagery that will serve my immediate need.
i just found out that i'll be giving this presentation on HOT at next
wednesday's
meeting of the Albany (NY) Rotary club. i'm not aware that any of you
are local
to upstate NY, but if you are, you're welcome to attend as my
please do. you can tell them that i'm president of the Albany (NY) Rotary
Club in District 7190.
