This is a nice app when you just have to sit down and wait... like
sitting on a bench while the dog is having a quality time.
It will be interesting how the data from this app could be used to
help in regular mapping activity ... would there be e.g. heat map like
layer for the JOSM that helps you
I get the impression that we'd prefer people to map directly but this is a
way of perhaps introducing people to mapping?

session and then come back to the same mission there seems to be same

and matching the offered tile sets doesn't work perfectly yet.

We did some pre-studies using a browser version using pybossa on this

Hi,
Just wanted to take the time to congratulate the team on this. Our tweet
about it got over 20 retweets and 2500 views [1] (which is a lot for an
account with little over 500 followers), and I even saw my boss swiping
away at work (because of my own retweet).
I hope it gets the exposure it
HI Tim, Thanks for your note. It is a mobile based app so phones or

The tutorial is also online. And, we have gotten some valuable feedback on
how to iterate. Here the feedback form - http://bit.ly/MapSwipeFBack
We have some standard design for sharing. Contact Pete off list about that
Hi Pete, folks,
Mapswipe sounds interesting and I look forward to hearing the
interview on the BBC when I can. I'm also looking forward to using it ( if
it works with my old phone). Can it also work without a phone, on a tablet
for example?
Will some screenshots of the application or an online
Hi all, how are you?
You might have heard mention of a new tool we are planning to launch on
Friday called MapSwipe. It's a Missing Maps initiative, developed by MSF,
designed to support OSM / HOT mapping. The idea is that people swipe
through imagery on their phones and identify areas with
