Jo, to answer your question I don't think they are going to be willing to
update the data themselves. Originally when I met the group they were
really just trying to figure out how to donate their data to Google. I
suggested why not also make it

closed from a workshop in Accra and was talking about how difficult
institutions in Ghana find it giving out data. as part of Project Flood
Risk [1] which used OSM as their base map.
Ready to help with this as usual.
Another important aspect is keeping that data current and up-to-date. Are
they prepared to (learn how to) do that part themselves? Would they
consider to start using OpenStreetMap as the repository of their data?
