I followed the deployment documentation. Did i miss something ?
Does anybody had those kind of problems ?

Did you have some problems with those ?

Thanks for the fast answer.
I just downloaded it today.
I've got this one :
OPAL release date: 16 Jun 2009
Ident string: @(#)RELEASE VERSION 1.3r21324-ct8.2-b09j-r40
Maybe that helps ?

r, i
just don't understand why hpc8.2 is expecting the 32 bits version !!
I'm using hpc8.2 with sunstudio 12 u1, i want to try another compiler,
looks like it's not easy.

Have you got some ideas of where the problem could be ?

You're right !
I only have to add -lmpi_f77, and then it works.
So the line now look like :
mpicc -o exe -m64 -L/export/opt/sunstudio12u1/rtlibs/amd64/
-R/export/opt/sunstudio12u1/rtlibs/amd64/
-L/export/opt/sunstudio12u1/lib/amd64/
-I/opt
clude/64 -lblacs_openmpi -lmpi
-xlic_lib=sunperf anneau.f90
So, it compiles for fortran, but not for C
(And i need it for C programs....)
Those libs are written in fortran.
Maybe it comes from the C interface to those libs ?

Do you know a way to get ride of those errors ?

Hi all,
Is there a way to have the checkpointing on solaris ?
I would like to activate it for parallel jobs, with gridengine.
thanks in advance,

if we have access to the packages offered by scientific linux, that may
push people to use solaris for HPC.

Hello,
I've redone everything from scratch (svn repository, branch 1.2).
I've still the same error.
Heres my options and compile options :
http://www.latp.univ-mrs.fr/~jobic/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=openmpi#essais
What i've done :
* source environement
* svn co [...]
* configure [...]
* make ->
If you want to recompile everything, i've made a french doc :
http://www.latp.univ-mrs.fr/~jobic/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=openmpi
Hope that's help,

Thanks for your answer.
I've got a Sun Studio 12 fully patched.
Here's my version : Sun C 5.9 SunOS_i386 Patch 124868-06 2008/06/24
With the modification, i can compile the file, but then i've got this link

Hello,
I solved the problem. It comes from the Sun Studio 12 compiler. It's written in
the fac :
http://www.open-mpi.org/faq/?category=building#build-sun-compilers
So i had to modify this file : opal/include/opal_config.h
And put #define OMPI_C_GCC_INLINE_ASSEMBLY to 0
No other modifications a
