*SOA DeveloperMadison, WI6+ Months ContractStart: ASAP* *Description:* Our client is seeking a SOA Developer to join their team in Madison, WI. This role will plan, analyze, design, code, test, implement, and maintain simple to moderately complex, new, and less defined system projects for enterprise application integration technologies, business applications, and purchased business system packages using products deployed on multiple technology platforms and on a corporate wide basis. Identifies critical review points and quality assurance controls are included throughout the system development lifecycle (SDLC). Candidates must have experience in developing integrations using Oracle SOA technologies. Preferred candidate will have experience with JCAPS. Candidates need to have a strong customer focus, be goal oriented, and be willing to model our client’s core values. *Responsibilities:* •Complete complex analysis and specifies requirements for moderately complex to complex systems using a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions. •Perform technically advanced work that may necessitate the origination and application of new and unique approaches. •Lead project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting activities for complex projects. •Review recommended cost estimates associated with recommended integration solutions including web services, service orchestration, file transfers, and data mapping. •Assists other analysts with design and acts as a resource for particularly difficult design projects. •Responsible for translating operational requirements for moderately complex systems to design integration requirements. •Plan and execute project systems involving operation, simulation, test or support requirements with real-time applications. •Develop documentation associated with integration tools and analyzes data acquired during systems testing. •Perform and may lead the testing of complex systems. Develops and advises on innovative or blended techniques to meet customer needs. •Recommend enterprise application integration team standards for testing. •Develop critical measures to evaluate process and system performance improvements. Plan and performs unit and integration testing. •Plan and conduct system testing to ensure system reliability prior to implementation. •Identify and assess probable interactions of inter-related computer systems and anticipates the impact of changes in systems. •Plan for the migration of legacy systems to current architecture. •Assist with the management of vendor software contracts and license agreements. •Work closely with cross-functional teams to determine and document system development business needs, and determine optimum computer automation support to satisfy those needs. •Gather and analyze information required for proper technical design including the identification and evaluation of purchased package solutions that require enterprise integration. •Maintain current knowledge of integration tools and technologies. •Recommend changes to design, development and implementation standards when appropriate. Responsible for technical application development for all stages in the development lifecycle. •Provides functional direction and mentoring for various project staff. •All other duties as assigned. *Required Skills and Experience:* •Education or experience equivalent to a four-year degree from an accredited college or university, with emphasis in information technology. •A minimum of five to eight years technical and/or professional experience in application development in an enterprise environment; java knowledge and experience is required. A strong working knowledge of Oracle's JCAPs tools and technologies is required. •A solid understanding and experience with enterprise application integration solutions; knowledge of web services, service orchestration, file transfers, and data mapping processes required. •Demonstrated strong knowledge of concepts of information technology, standard application development methods, and relational database technology. •Demonstrated advanced ability to implement standard analysis, programming, and testing techniques across the development life cycle of systems. •Ability to determine the use of appropriate current information processing technology, apply logical reasoning to complex situations, and analyze problems of a complex nature and derive workable solutions. •Strong knowledge, skill and ability to design, develop, implement, and maintain business applications. •Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs (e.g., e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and project management). •Familiar with client/server and browser based networks and application performance issues with regards to network architecture and application design. •Ability to lead and direct information technology project activities. •Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. •Ability to work in a diverse work environment.
