I have recompiled everything, but I still get this issue. TO be more
precise, I have a problem, where enblend doesn't recognize tiff files,
although it is built with the proper support. Here are the logs:

Hi Georg, unfortunately vigra is mostly headers, the dynamically linked
library is just a small part of it.
So you need to install vigra then recompile enblend.

Hi Bruno,
thanks - I got everything fixed now. There was an additional fault in
luminance-hdr.
Interstingly it was sufficient to recompile vigra. It did not touch
enblend.
Greetings,
Georg

Hi,
I did the following (inspired from Hugin compiling Ubuntu)
sudo apt-get install libtiff4-dev libopenexr-dev libboost-system-dev \
libboost-filesystem-dev libboost-graph-dev libboost-thread-dev \
freeglut3-dev libglew-dev libxi-dev libxmu-dev libplot-dev libgsl0-dev \
liblcms2-dev
cd ~/
Me again, some more details:
libvigraimpex4 1.8.0+dfsg-0ubuntu2 is currently installed. There are ppa
with libvigraimpex 1.9.0+dfsg-0ppa3~quantal1 should that be ok?

Hi Bruno,
thanks for the clarification. Thus I have to do this:
" So you need to recompile the vigra library with OpenEXR support and
then link enblend-enfuse against this new compiled library."
How is this done technically. Or can I install directly an enblen-enfuse
version with has EXR suppor
Hi Georg, you are trying to blend EXR files into TIFF output, but your
enblend binary is compiled without EXR support:
> Supported image formats: BMP GIF HDR JPEG PNG PNM SUN TIFF VIFF
> Supported file extensions: bmp gif hdr jpeg jpg pbm pgm png pnm ppm ras tif
> tiff xv

Hi,
I experienced the same problem with exr file and switched then to tiff
hdr image output in hugin.
Error message stays the same:

Enblend 4.0 was using an internal vigra library for reading and writing the
image files. This was removed because of Linux guidelines concerning packaging.
Enblend-enfuse 4.1.x is linking against an existing vigra library.
To check, which image formats are supported, run "enblend -v -V" and

This is error of the Enblend-enfuse 4.1.1 and 4.1. Version 4.0 - OK.
