I now have a very fast (for a laptop) i7 and an 23" external monitor for my video editing for a fraction of the price (and the rest of the money I can spend on another holiday, or wine or whisky, or nice restaurants) What's more: iMovie can't even process and deliver 50p HD movies, and OpenShot and KDenlive can. OpenShot as userfriendly and KDenlive even with a lot of added functionality. And FinalCutPro delivers only a bit more functionality then KDenlive but asks 270 euros.
