Sorry for the late response on this subject. I have just seen hugin behaviour which suggests that there is something odd about the way the value of 'overview_hidden', in the .hugin file is used. 1st run of hugin, FPW opens with overview hidden. I exit hugin after saving a pto file. I check .hugin and overview_hidden=1 2nd run of hugin, opened with pto file, FPW opens with overview shown, I manage to hide overview, and continue without crash, exit hugin, .hugin still shows overview_hidden=1. 3rd run, FPW opens with overview hidden. Unless I have misunderstood what is expected to happen, it seems to me that hugin is not always taking notice of the .hugin setting of overview_hidden.
