OK. While we are sharing standards that are already in place, I might as well add those of California, drafted in 2003 (reposted in 2009). They are certainly due for new textbooks! They may turn out to be digital. I haven't read the standards lately, but here is the link to a pdf:
http://www.cde.ca.gov/be/st/ss/documents/sciencestnd.pdf And here is a link to their digital textbook project... good stuff and, as far as I know, all creative commons: http://www.ck12.org/flexbook/ And then there is Texas, the other gorilla in the textbook buying process. Here is a new article (today) that indicates things may be getting better there: http://www.mysanantonio.com/opinion/editorials/article/This-time-SBOE-gets-science-right-1600863.php Caryl Date: Wed, 27 Jul 2011 11:20:42 -0400 From: elizabethbarndol...@gmail.com To: support-g...@lists.laptop.org Subject: Re: [support-gang] [IAEP] Proposed New K-12 Science Framework Wow this is great I can really use this also! Curiously the Grade_7_2010.pdf document didn't follow this pattern so I wonder if it came from a different author/source originally. Did you want maps for the Grade Level Benchmark documents as well?
