OK. While we are sharing standards that are already in place, I might as well
add those of California, drafted in 2003 (reposted in 2009). They are certainly
due for new textbooks! They may turn out to be digital. I haven't read the
standards lately, but here is the link to a pdf:

http://www.cde.ca.gov/be/st/ss/documents/sciencestnd.pdf
And here is a link to their digital textbook project... good stuff and, as far
as I know, all creative commons:

And then there is Texas, the other gorilla in the textbook buying process. Here
is a new article (today) that indicates things may be getting better there:

These are based on the Grade K to 8 overview documents (Curriculum Overview
Documents for Parents, "Your Child's Year in Grades K- 8"):

       http://wiki.sugarlabs.org/go/File:Grade_8_2010_som.jpg

Note: I excluded the term use/uses as it had such a high frequency relative to
all others without adding much in the way of interesting associations.
Curiously the Grade_7_2010.pdf document didn't follow this pattern so I wonder
if it came from a different author/source originally.

Did you want maps for the Grade Level Benchmark documents as well?
