Hi folks,
I have a bug report for a Lenovo T440s. I know the "unsupported
brightness interface" has been reported numerous times, but from an end
user perspective I have two issues:
1. once I 'logon' to the Linux desktop and the X display starts (i.e.
after the gnome logon screen) the brightness is set such that the
display is blank, and I have to use the brightness keys (i.e in the
T440s case F8) to increase the brightness to I can see the desktop.
2. If I have a second monitor plugged in the display stays blank and I
can't even see the gnome logon display screen at all.

Hope this is the correct place to report this,
In response to some of the reports the replies are that "Unsupported
brightness interface, " is a normal message and can be ignored,
and unlike some others who have reported, my F5,F6 keys to adjust the
brightness do work (although I think they were running experimental),
so I'm at a bit of a loss as to what I can do to fix this, the second
display 'startup' issue is the real nuisance - I have to remember to
unplug the display when (re)booting.
regards,
Jol.
