I've removed some old user catalogs by EXPORT/DISC. When I recently ran an

Problem solved. Looks like it didn't have anything to do with DELVOL but
thanks for that tip. I did that anyway. There was a usercat still
connected to that volume. When I disconnected it, DFHSM didn't want to see
that volume anymore.

I have removed some dasd volumes from my system and from the list of L0/L1
DFHSM ADDVOLs (non-SMS). I've vary'ed the volumes offline and recycled
DFHSM (more than once) but when I run an EXPIREBV, DFHSM allocates one of
the old volumes for SYS00023. I can't find any references to that volid in

I'm seeing a situation where my full volume dump tapes are not being

I have a non-SMS HSM environment with several GDGs defined. New

I'm sure this isn't the right forum for this question so my apologies in
advance. I have an old pre OS/390 C/C++ program which I'm trying to

warning of "tcperror.h not found". Can someone tell me where the

I just made changes to my ARCCMD00 inserting ONLYIF statements to limit
migration/backup processing to one processor. I'll see what that does
first. It may become a non-issue.

Are all your DFHSM hosts doing autobackup & migration or do you control
that by setting up different ADDVOL parms in each ARCCMDxx?

I'm trying to set up a multi-host environment which shares multiple 3390

DFHSM as the PRIMARY=YES host and the other image (z/OS 1.6) is
PRIMARY=NO.
