Find the discussion and the offering a little bit strange from a European /
German view. First of all, most companies and organizations here are worried
to give data away to the U.S. because of worse data protection. Maybe you
have heard of SWIFT data grabbing of U.S. governmental organizations. So
You see: it is about DB2 LUW, not DB2 z/OS. There are no containers on DB2
z/OS.

Of course, we would recommend to go to 1.7 (or 1.9) anyhow before moving to
z10, especially if they don't have z/VM in the shop yet. Better to invest
into z/OS migration instead of setting up z/VM.
