want production to have everything it can get and hold the test to 2 MSUs 4
hour rolling, define PRODLPAR with the 800 weight only and the TESTLPAR with
200 weight and defined capacity of 2.

Hi All,
Just had a few questions regarding how other people are managing ServerPacs.
How can you apply 2 different configurations to the same installation order.
For z/OS, our Test and Production LPARs have slightly different
configurations. We have separate spool, checkpoint, page, catalog
That's exactly what I needed. Thank you very much for the helpful tips and
quick response Dave!

I'm trying to use the HSMLIST Rexx exec that Frank Clarke created but have

I'm trying to issue an error message when displaying an ISPF panel in a Rexx

Here is the INIT section of the panel:

The query shows there is only 1 active backup task. We think we've figured
out what is happening. We have INUSE(RETRY(Y) DELAY(0) SERIALIZATION

Unfortunately, we're still running z/OS 1.7, so IBM will not allow us to open
a PMR for this issue. We are a small shop and do not have a lot of tape
drives available and are trying to minimize the number of tape drives in use
at a time. Two backup tasks are started even though we specify

We're getting ready to implement HSM and wanted to verify whether the Recycle
process will automatically create duplex copies of each tape if Duplex is set
to Yes for both Backup and Migration tapes. If so, will HSM also free up the
offsite volumes so they can be reused? We're using CA-1 and

Do you have CA-1 set up with an EDM statement for HSM?

When checking the PSP bucket for recommended maintenance, is one supposed to
skip a Hiper fix if there is an Error Hold on it?
Thanks.

I updated our ACS routines to assign a specific storage group to a specific
dataset naming convention but it only works with JCL and not when allocating
through ISPF 3.2.
Anyone have any thoughts on what I may be missing?
Thanks.

and your storage group routine could be assigning based on the storage
class.
