We got rid of Comparex as well. File/AID has given us a way of pinpointing our compares so that our output reports a more focused. The formatted (using data maps or copybooks) output makes the report easy to use AND we found File/AID performed much better in terms of CPU because it did a lot more f

Most mainframe shops own File/AID. This has both an online and batch element to it. File/AID batch is very powerful and we have replaced many of our Easytrieve jobs with it. It performs better (less CPU) and is far easier to maintain. even some of our junior team members are proficient in File/AID
