Hi folks, We have a 2105 ESS 800 configured with 8 LSS (00 to 07) with 128 devices each. The physical devices, 12 Eightpacks of 18.2Go disques, are assigned this way : LSS (00 to 03) with 72 volumes emulated 3390-3 LSS (04 to 07) with 36 volumes emulated 3390-3
At this time, we want to upgrade our Storage, With 2 Eightpacks of 145.6Go disques. The Hardware-Inspector told me that the only way to do that is to create 2 new LSS (0E & OF) with 256 devices each, to deliver 512 Volumes 3390-3 (so we lost ~100 volumes). My question : Is there a way to have more volumes ? How good would the final config (8 LSS with 128 dev & 2 LSS with 256 dev) ? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks very much. M.
