Darren has said I could make occasional announcements
to the list, and I have self-limited myself to no more
than one a quarter. So this is my announcement for the
second quarter. We are trying something new ...

We are proud to announce the opening of The Trainer's
Friend on-line store where we are offering application
programmer toolkits.

A programmer toolkit is a collection of libraries and files,
customized for each programmer, designed to make development,
compiling, debugging, and testing simpler.

Right now we have our Base Toolkit available, in two editions:

* Personal edition - tailored for a specific programmer

* Team edition - tailored for a group; each member of
the team runs a simple dialog to have
their own personal set of libraries
                 and files built

Each base toolkit supports developers who code in Assembler,
COBOL, PL/I and C. With over 50 sample programs and relevant
customized JCL procedures, programmers can quickly develop
new batch applications or modify existing ones.

We plan future toolkits for DB2, CICS, Language Environment
and much, much more. All of these add on to a Base toolkit,
so this is the starting point.

Toolkits are inexpensive:
  * USD 160 for a personal edition base toolkit
  * USD 800 for a team edition.
