I promised I would report on our SAP/R3 conversion off of our mainframe to our sister company's RS6000 box in Pennsylvania. Last Wednesday evening we shut down all of our CICSs and made them read only. We converted all of the files needed to the proper format, and FTP'd them to our sister company. As of this Tuesday morning, we have been running live on SAP/R3. So far, there are no major problems. Lots of minor problems, and some response time problems, but nothing big.
It looks now like the mainframe will be gone by the end of April. We aren't running much of anything right now on our MP3000 except for converting some of the history files that are now in VSAM files. It looks like our staff did a really good job.
