OK, it seems that the weirdness happens on one of the jobs when the stacked
file count hits 25. At the 25th file a change was put in to have subsequent
files go to another tape volulme. Strange i
e end of the previous file
and dropped in another TM and closed it out and called for a new volume. Worked
great for many years. Perhaps your code is doing the same thing.
