ViewDirect question.

I've looked through the ViewDirect manuals, but I find them almost useless. What I am looking for is a batch interface to the administration functions. This is to help automate the administration of users (add, delete, change). Has anybody done this? -- John McKown Senior Systems Programmer

Thanks so much. Maybe now I can start to understand the manual. Maybe. Sort of. It has to be one of the worst organized manuals I've run across. If you're looking at the CD-ROM you want the section Database Maintenance. Since you're adding users, Recipient Table is what you'll be interested

If you repro your INVERS and INDIST files to seq, you can read through those and build your control cards. I've done that in the past with Easytrieve to build recall cards. Ha! I thought I was the only one in the world using Easytrieve to do the same thing. I don't use Easytrieve for
