The permissions all (Android) apps demand (not ask, demand) are ridiculous.

Just bringing up z/OS 2.1. When I enter ISPF, the IBM copyright notice box

Easy to fix it. Just simulate an ENTER and
Interesting. We also modify ISR@PRIM but never messed with logo logic.
Same usermod for 2.1 as for 1.13, different result. (I use ISPF or PDF
command, not a script.) Need more research. Thanks for the tips.

Yikes! It looks like SMPE is going after your production library. You
should be pointing to an installation-only library that's used only by
SMPE.

Let me try to conclude this thread as it has drifted apart from the original
question to the question whether an 8 char (MVS) userid can become valid TSO

Looks like a DB/2 APPLY. Don't think it updates SCEELKED but needs the PDS
to resolve the BIND.
Do a find on DDDEFS to see where it's pointing. Modify ZONE to specify SHR
as DISP.

Roger, The TS7700 doesn't care what you write on the tape, but the system tends
to want them all to be standard label.
However, I do recall that we made specific support in DFSMSrmm to support both
non-specific NL and specific NL processing in all system managed tapes.
However, you do need the

Paul,
When SMPE builds the input to the link editor (binder) it does this:
include (ddname of the library the module is included from ie
alinklib (as an example) include alinklib(iew)
The ddname is in the case we are talking is either the library where
the module reside or the DISTLIB .

Most likely you have DISP=OLD on SCEELKED. It should be SHR.
True. OTOH, this is also fall-out from the allocation ENQs being
broken for years. The RNAME being used is DSN NOT DSN+VOLSER like
ISPF does.
Volser ???
