Hi
You can find the solution to the error in the IP Diagnosis Guide. Or you can
issue the error code on this site.
If you have decided to use non-secure. You have to reorganize the
TCPPARMS(PROFILE) according to non-SSL usage. Example below: You have to use
port 23 instead of a secure port.

Is it an option to turn off cert expiration check in your 3270 desktop software?
Are you able to share any cert chain listing... for why it "doesn't see it".

My understanding is that a policy agent refresh only reloads the definitions if
something has changed in the policy. I have certainly had a problem when a
keyring had been changed - policy agent did not recognise a change so the
cached keyring remains. The solution was to increment the connectio
Ensono offers z/OS hosting.
So does Sirius, which is now part of CDW.

This is why I have setup a few 3270 sessions for each lpar in the OSA-ICC

Don't you have some local 3270 devices defined? As previously suggested, change
a console to a VTAM terminal and log on w/VTAM instead of TN3270

Tony,
You need to do a TCPIP command to stop and then start the TN3270 port number
using the new cert.
Thank you.

You need to stop and start the TN3270 port to pick up the new cert. The PAGENT
refresh was needed also but you have already done that.
You can stop/start the port by:
1 - TCPIP VARY commands.
2 - Recycle TCPIP.
3 - IPL.
Good luck.

So you sometimes have to treat z/OS like Winderz ;-)

z/OS 3.1 added the Z Shell, zsh. Is anyone using it? How do you like it.
What interesting features does it have over bash?
I'm only at 2.5, so can't use it.

That what I was suggesting. Switching a console to a local non sna

extending its expiration date.

Here's a bit of an off the wall question/request.
Do both 'netstat' and 'onetstat' work in zsh?
In bash, only 'onetstat' works. I think that bash under z/OS is unable to
follow executables with the 'e' file type (external link).
ls -FalTHp /bin/netstat /bin/onetstat
erwxr
According to the man page for netstat, it’s a synonym for onetstat.
Issuing netstat in bash 5.2 says command not found. It may be a moot
point if it’s truly a synonym.

Just tried. Both
I can also cd into the bin directory and issue ./netstat and it works.

Interesting. So it looks like (just guessing!) bash isn't able to find
external links when following the PATH. Or something.
