It seems like JES error.
JES is the one that add the "//SYSIN DD * GENERATED
STATEMENT" before calling the MVS converter
JES requires that the "*" will be separated by a comma or blank from the
next JCL keyword

Try $T JOBCLASS. It will let you automate the definition of the jobclass by
time
Another JES2 command that you may neen is $T PROCLIB to set the JES2
PROCLIB correctly
