After the restore, make sure the dataset-owner got set properly. Ours shows an
owner of $IAM. If you do not put the owner in, it defaults to native VSAM and
you cannot read the file.

never used the SMC. They always use the serial connection to the Kona cards
directly. And if you are using replication of your DS6800 for DR purposes, you

I am running mine on a virtual server running Server 2008 Standard SP2. The
one time I opened a software call on this, IBM immediately told me I was
running an unsupported configuration. They helped me with my problem, but
griped the entire time.

Willie, this might be a foolish way to find what I need, but I always search
our production JCL library before I do anything. All but a handful of our VSAM
datasets have allocation JCL in there somewhere. On the odd, one off clusters,
that takes more digging.

When you login to the HMC as acsadmin, you add the SE IP address when you
define a new object. You must be logged in as acsadmin to do this. HTH.
