A machine model upgrade would be excellent! However, if you have z/OS 2.2
with XL C/C++ then you can compile the source code for your particular
machine model, as long as your target machine can run what the z/OS 2.2 XL

We get a z13s in April so I might leave it. I'm guessing that some of
the instructions generated by the JIT compiler in V8 might be zEC12 and
later so re-compiling won't help.
