X-posted IBM-MAIN, IBMVM and RACF-L

Several of us are working on a series of certificate presentations for SHARE
Sacramento.

I was wondering if anyone has tried - successfully or unsuccessfully - to
use a Let's Encrypt certificate with a Z platform.

Let's Encrypt is a *free* source of SSL/TLS certificates:
https://letsencrypt.org/

It's mainstream. They list Cisco, Facebook and the Ford Foundation among
their many backers.

They are silent on support for Z:
https://letsencrypt.org/docs/certificate-compatibility/

I would like to ask
- Has anyone tried to use Let's Encrypt with a Z platform and succeeded?
- Has anyone tried to use Let's Encrypt with a Z platform and failed? What
was the error?
- Has anyone decided not to use Let's Encrypt for "policy" rather than
technical reasons? Why?
- Has anyone installed Let's Encrypt's CA keys on Z? Why or why not?

Thanks,

Charles Mills
