Walt, You are correct - FTP is more prevalent in z/OS shops. SFTP is much more prevalent in distributed systems since OpenSSH is installed as a default package on all modern Unix/Linux distros. Also, SSH/SFTP uses a single port/connection which has significant advantages when it comes to naviga
