If the list owner weren't largely AWOL, he would have kept this list under control. As it stands, it's a semi-free-fire zone, but that doesn't legitimize such postings. "Freedom of speech" does not extend to shouting "Fire!" in a theatre, nor should it extend to being obnoxious on a list for no reason. Doing so dilutes the value of the list for all participants. Having said that, the obvious caveat is, "Unless the list owner wants it that way".
