I never ran into that one, but I did experience tape failures due to the raised floor. The year was 1963, the CPU a 7080, and the tape drives were, IIRC, 726s. My memory if fuzzy on the last - they were the predecessors of the 729s. One drive kept having I/O errors. The CE checked it several times
