Not only that, you must have a z10 to create your initial 6.1 system. It cannot
even be ordered until you have one and the system you DDR is a 6.1 system.

Richard,

Apparently the books are customized. I found no mention of the single zip, but
I have prevailed.
IBM may have considered it and decided that a different delivery system was
required for security or the bottom line. The other possibility is that they
wanted a single delivery system for DVD and
Hi everyone,
Someone asked on IBM-MAIN about the tech conferences--sorry I should
have posted this sooner. My boo-boo.
Here are the dates for two upcoming IBM System z Technical Conferences
(renamed to Technical University).
Here's the link to the events calendar where you can find these

Billy,
From a CMS userid on that system, did you try entering: HELP HCPCPN6283I
Doing that on our system shows:

I'm not able to load an OAT because I can't vary it online. Is there a hardware
command to
re-set the device to the original OAT? Should I just have only devices 0 1
defined in the
IOCDS?
This is what I have defined now:
CNTLUNIT CUNUMBR=1100,PATH=(34),UNIT=OSA

In the pages linked, especially the one regarding getting management approval,
the dreaded word conference is still used. That may make it a no-go in some
quarters.

Hello
Continuous with this subject, trying to find the solution most direct and
simple to realise it.
I want that dump and restore everything from VM and not to involve in this
to the tools linux .
And I have another question:
With DFSMS for z/vm it's possible this???
Dump and restore between
Varying the CHPID off, then on is supposed to reset it. But check your
FE device (111F), it is the device that is used to load the OAT.

It depends what you need to restore. DFSMS/VM's COPY command can copy CMS
formatted minidisks to unlike disks, so also from 3390 to FBA. The VM spool
for example need to be rebuilt and transferred using tape; MAINT 190, with
its CMS nucleus, needs to be rebuilt too, sameway for SAPL.
