I'm not sure exactly how much credence should be given to a rather incendiary post from an anonymous poster referencing an anonymous source. If you would like to supply the name of your source (offline, please), I'll happily look into it. A few points: - For discontinuance to be "postponed" it would have to have been originally scheduled for earlier. At no time in the last two years have those of us who work with the ITSO been informed of any plan to end Redbooks. (I.e. "don't bother") - Redbooks cover a lot of territory. It is possible that some parts of IBM have chosen to reduce funding of residencies or Redbooks in the ITSO. - There *are* certain Redbooks that have been re-published on a regular basis for many years and some of those have ended their run. - The ITSO *may* be looking to reduce the number of residencies in order to reduce cost. - Remember that a lot of Redbooks that are not tied to a residency.
