Hi Russell, I didn't intend to move linux guest from one VM to another. I was configuring the zLinux to enable ipv6 that was originally ipv4. I'm not sure if your instrution would work here because my vswitch has other ipv4 linux guests connected on it. Anyway, I will have a try. Thanks!
Actually, I was also trying to configure this linux guest using dedicate OSA devices in stead of vswitch. Does it still need layer2? Thanks! It took us some time and effort but it does work. Are you setting this up so that it allows you the ability to move Linux guest from one VM to another while retaining it's IP address? If so you will need to start assigning MAC addresses and keeping track of that as well. This is what we used to set the layer 2 OSA You will need to set the group: You will also need to set the group: " CP SET PORT GROUP GLAN515 JOIN F### " " CP DEF VSWITCH VSWF### ETH VLAN 515 RDEV F### NAT 515 PORTN OSAPORT " " CP SET VSWITCH VSWF### GRANT XXXXX " <XXXXX = guest name or user account> <note> you will need to have a LAN to point too. But it seems didn't work. I suspect the OSA adapter may not support this function. Do you have any idea or suggestion? Thanks! The message I got: portname: UNASSIGNED RDEV: F320 Controller: NONE Error: No Layer 2 portname: UNASSIGNED RDEV: F324 Controller: NONE Error: No Layer 2 ___________________________________________________________ 好玩贺卡等你发,邮箱贺卡全新上线! http://card.mail.cn.yahoo.com/
