Mike is one of the regular presenter at SHARE, and knows quite a bit about all things
z/VM, especially installation and configuration. Going to SHARE, and reading this list,
are two great ways of learning what you need to know about z/VM and hosting zLinux as a
guest.

I don't know if the documents you mention should have been shipped or not, but in any
case, IBM makes all of the VM doc available online, in both PDF and Book format.
