A customer I'm starting to support is using Hidro and would like to short

their backup process a bit.  They do have old files that are probably no
longer needed.

As I know that VM:Backup skips the backup of migrated files, with VM:Back
up
an easy solution would be to implement DFSMS SFS management to migrate th
ese
old files to the migration level1 filepool, (we'd seperately backup the
migration level 1 filepool just once; weekly a full backup is taken and
daily incrementals). 

The quesion: will Hidro skip backup of migrated SFS files?

(the text from the old discussion below isn't very conclusive, and the Hi
dro
admin manual doesn't seem to mention this) 

Years ago, I found that a design problem in VM:Backup, now I'd like to
exploit this...
