I have a rope rein w/ snaps at either end that a NH guy in town made for me. I really like the feel of the rope (it's about 1/2, not that giant sailing rope Parelli uses), and the snaps make it very easy to unsnap one rein and tie the horse up. It's not attached to a bit, so there's no mouth

Do you leave them loose to swing around? Yes. The purple one I made later is shorter, but they don't seem to bother the horses - they really don't swing much. In your photos--what models are your Sensations? Both Hybrid? The bottom photo seems to have a longer flap. Depends on which pic
