I fly into and out of Ottawa on average once a week - living there. It is bloody
awkward to travel from there, and very few locations are direct flights. Not to
mention that crossing the border normally adds a couple of hundred dollars to the
ticket price.

comment. Sam's email accurately sums up my own view.
Further, as the host of IETF61, we explored at least four possible venues, one of

people who told me (from the US largely) that there were never any big
enough shirts left, and to those from Europe who told me that there
were only ever big shirts left!!!
