It varies from place to place. I've seen people have their duty free bags confiscated at Frankfurt for purely internal European flights. It seems that the rules change weekly. Like Harald says, last hop is the only sure thing. No transitive trust in airport security these days. John

I know for a fact (because it happened to me Friday) that liquids are confiscated on the security check required to transit at London Heathrow. 100 milliliters is the limit, and this includes duty- free purchased elsewhere in-route. Now, of course, you can _buy_ duty free at Heathrow and carry
