I have successfully configured BSNL ZTE EVDO on Mandriva, CrunchBang (an
Ubuntu derivative), PCLinuxOS etc. It should be very easy to configure it
in Ubuntu using nm-applet; in fact I did configure the modem in the live CD
mode (ie even before a harddisk install)

firefox itself and it will always find the latest version the second it is

I did just that and it is great, but the problem is (I use Linux Mint) we
cant access it from the mint menu, only the installed version can be done
like that. If I accidentally select the old version it will cause some
issues.
